Waller Wildings: KPB at Creek Show 2026
This November, Kick Punch Bite is bringing three new creatures to life along Waller Creek.
Waller Wildings is KPB’s installation for Creek Show 2026, Waterloo Greenway’s signature light-based public-art event. Inspired by the evolving legend of the Waller Creek Monster and the personality-driven world of Japanese designer toys, the installation introduces three playful guardians of the creek.
Their illuminated forms respond to the presence of visitors, turning the landscape into a place of curiosity, interaction, and connection. By giving personality to the unseen forces shaping this urban ecosystem, Waller Wildings asks visitors to look more closely at the natural world around them. When nature feels alive, magical, and worth knowing, it becomes easier to value, protect, and imagine its future.
KPB is proud to be one of ten local artist teams transforming the newly opened southern stretch of Waterloo Greenway at The Confluence. For nine nights, Creek Show will fill Waller Creek between 4th Street and Lady Bird Lake with light, art, and shared experience.

Creek Show 2026 will be a ticketed event, with proceeds supporting Waterloo Greenway Conservancy and its work creating and maintaining Austin’s 35-acre urban park system.
