BUILD THIS 2026 Official Rules
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. A PURCHASE WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED.
These Official Rules govern the KPB BUILD THIS 2026 creative contest (the “Contest”), sponsored by Kick Punch Bite LLC (“Sponsor”). By entering, each entrant agrees to these Official Rules and Sponsor’s decisions, which are final regarding the Contest.
1. Eligibility
The Contest is open to legal residents of the contiguous United States who are at least 18 years old at the time of entry. Employees, contractors, and immediate family or household members of Sponsor are not eligible. The Contest is void outside the contiguous United States and wherever prohibited or restricted by law.
2. Contest Period
Entries open November 1, 2026 at 9:00 a.m. Central Time and close November 21, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. Central Time. Sponsor’s systems are the official timekeeping device. Late, incomplete, inaccessible, or misdirected entries may be disqualified.
3. How to Enter
During the Contest Period, submit one original build idea through the entry form at kickpunchbite.com/pages/buildthis. Explain what should be built, why it should exist, and how it would be used. A sketch, image, or short video may be included when the entry form permits it, but professional drawings are not required. Limit one primary submission per person. No purchase or payment is required.
4. Entry Requirements
Each entry must be the entrant’s original work and must not copy or infringe another person’s character, logo, artwork, product, copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity, or other rights. Entries may not contain unlawful, hateful, threatening, sexually explicit, or dangerous material. Sponsor will not build weapons, illegal or dangerous devices, road vehicles, permanent structures, medical products, or concepts requiring certification or long-term safety testing. Sponsor may reject any entry it determines is unsafe, impractical, inappropriate, incomplete, or inconsistent with the Contest.
5. Judging and Finalists
Eligible entries will be evaluated using the following criteria: originality and surprise (25%); KPB fit and personality (25%); visual and story potential (20%); December buildability (20%); and public finalist voting (10%). Sponsor plans to announce three finalists on November 25, 2026. Public voting is scheduled to close November 28, 2026. Public voting does not by itself determine the winner. Sponsor makes the final selection using the published criteria and may adjust dates or procedures when reasonably necessary for administration, safety, fairness, or technical reasons.
6. Winner
The potential winner is scheduled to be announced November 30, 2026 and may be contacted using the information supplied with the entry. The potential winner may be required to confirm eligibility and complete an affidavit, eligibility release, liability release, publicity release, tax form, or other reasonable documentation. Failure to respond within the time stated in Sponsor’s notice, inability to verify eligibility, or noncompliance with these Rules may result in disqualification and selection of an alternate winner.
7. Prize
One winner will receive a one-of-one object designed and fabricated by Kick Punch Bite based on the winning concept, with an approximate retail value of up to $5,000. Pickup, delivery, or freight is included up to $750 within the contiguous United States. Any shipping, handling, site work, installation, permits, taxes, or other expenses exceeding the stated allowance are the winner’s responsibility unless Sponsor agrees otherwise in writing. The exact design, dimensions, materials, engineering, finish, features, and production method will be determined by Sponsor based on safety, feasibility, schedule, budget, and creative considerations. The prize is not transferable or redeemable for cash. Sponsor may substitute a prize of equal or greater value if necessary.
8. Idea Ownership and License
Entrants retain ownership of their original ideas. By entering, each entrant grants Sponsor a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive license to review, reproduce, adapt, display, publish, and feature the entry for Contest administration, judging, promotion, documentation, and related social or marketing content. The winner additionally authorizes Sponsor to interpret, modify, engineer, fabricate, photograph, film, and publicly reveal the winning concept. Any future commercial production, licensing, or sale of an entrant’s concept requires a separate written agreement.
9. Publicity and Content
Except where prohibited, the winner grants Sponsor permission to use the winner’s name, city and state, likeness, voice, entry, statements, and prize-related photographs or video for Contest-related publicity without additional compensation. Entrants represent that they have permission from any identifiable person appearing in submitted content.
10. Conduct and Technical Issues
Sponsor may disqualify anyone who tampers with the entry or voting process, uses bots or fraudulent voting methods, submits false information, disrupts the Contest, or violates these Rules. Sponsor is not responsible for outages, transmission errors, lost data, platform failures, unauthorized intervention, or other technical problems beyond its reasonable control. If the Contest cannot operate as intended, Sponsor may suspend, modify, or cancel it and may select a winner from eligible entries already received.
11. Release and Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, entrants release Sponsor and its owners, employees, contractors, agents, platforms, and promotional partners from claims arising from participation, acceptance or use of the prize, or the fabrication, delivery, display, or use of the finished object, except where such release is prohibited. Sponsor makes no warranty beyond any written warranty expressly provided with the finished build.
12. Privacy
Information submitted will be used to administer the Contest, communicate with entrants, verify eligibility, deliver the prize, and document or promote the Contest as described in these Rules. Information will be handled according to Sponsor’s posted privacy policy.
13. Disputes
These Rules are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally will be brought individually in a court of competent jurisdiction in Texas; class or representative claims are waived to the extent permitted by law.
14. Sponsor and Questions
